Description: Di-tert-butyl peroxide, also known as di-tert-butyl peroxide, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C₈H₁₈O₂. It is a water-white liquid, miscible with organic solvents such as benzene and petroleum ether, but insoluble in water. It is mainly used as an initiator for synthetic resins, a photopolymerization sensitizer, a rubber vulcanizing agent, and a diesel ignition accelerator. It is also used in organic synthesis, polymer crosslinking, and acrylic acid production.
