Chemical Name: 2,5-Dimethyl-2,5-bis-(tert-butylperoxide)hexane CAS-No.: 78-63-7
Common Names: Bis-2,5-hexane; Bis-2,5-hexane vulcanizing agent; Bis-2,5-hexane silicone vulcanizing agent; Bis-2,5-hexane DHBP vulcanizing agent; Bis-2,5-hexane 101 vulcanizing agent; DHBP.
Description: Pale yellow oily liquid, molecular formula C12H24O2, with a characteristic odor. This product is used as a vulcanizing agent for silicone rubber, polyurethane rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, and other rubbers. It can also be used as a crosslinking agent for polyethylene and a curing agent for unsaturated polyesters. This product is an effective high-temperature vulcanizing agent for vinyl silicone rubber. DHBP is an initiator for the production of controlled rheology polypropylene (CR-PP) in the range of 200-240℃, i.e., used for viscosity reduction and degradation of polypropylene. It can also be used as a directional trapping catalyst for polystyrene to reduce the residual amount of polystyrene monomer. It can also be used as a crosslinking agent for natural or synthetic rubbers, polyethylene, organosilicon, etc.
